IT STARTED WITH AN AUTOGRAPH

Ronald Cardwell
Published 2006

The book looks at the friendship between four cricket friends, Peter Leslie, Ronald Cardwell, Graham Mackie and Lloyd Keir. The signing of an autograph book, Leslie's selection for NSW against the MCC on their tour to Australia in 1965-66 and the friendship in Sydney, Dubbo and cricket fields beyond are told in a moving way.

One of the friends, Lloyd Keir, now suffers from MS. His friendship and journey both on and off thee field is recalled. Lloyd played representative for NSW country prior to his illness. He was an active member of the Australian Cricket Society (Sydney Branch) and went on all of their cricket tours in Australia and overseas. The profits from the sale of the book were passed over to Lloyd Keir.

Author Ronald Cardwell is a former St George cricketer and has gone on to right many books relating to cricket.
