ARTHUR MORRIS SUITCASE

Cricket case used by A.R. Morris on his Australian tours to England 1948-1953

Morris was a part of the 1948 Invincibles side, which toured England without losing a test match (4-0 with one draw) or First-class fixture (19 wins, 7 draws).
Morris is regarded as one of Australia's most talented left-handed batsmen. In test cricket he scored 3,533 runs in 46 tests at an average of 46.48 with a highest score of 206. He was just as dominant in First-class cricket scoring 12,614 runs in 162 matches at an average of 53.67 with a highest score of 290. For St. George  he scored 4,552 runs at an average of 45.5 with a highest score of 201 not out.
Morris captained Australia on 2 occasions for 2 losses. 
In the Centenary year of the club, Arthur Morris was the St. George District Cricket Club's number one member. He was also selected in the St. George Team of the Century.
