ABOUT US

The St George District Cricket Club has an incredibly rich history spanning over 100 years. The club was founded in 1911 and lays claim to the greatest batsman to ever grace the game, Sir Donald Bradman. In total, the club has had 14 of its playing members go on to represent Australia in test cricket and 49 players who have represented New South Wales.

This online museum and library provides a brief snapshot of the history of this club. The items included here are unique and the stories that accompany them are quite fascinating. All of these items are on display in the Booth-Saunders Pavilion at Hurstville Oval, the home of St. George District Cricket Club. However, this is only a very small sample of the 168 items in the pavilion.

The club is also in search of any items relating to the club that past players may have in their possession. We are looking to preserve the history of the club for future generations through physical artefacts. Examples of the items in our collection can be found in the online museum, however they are certainly not limited to these items. Please contact the club if you have any inquiries.

Please enjoy this museum and the historical interest that it carries.
